About Us

In 1970s, the churches in Hong Kong had limited knowledge and irregular support in world missions. The numbers of missionaries from Hong Kong were few. Those sending churches and mission organizations were lacking resources and experience. Because of these factors, a group of mission-minded pastors and church leaders came together and formed the Hong Kong Association of Christian Missions (HKACM)in 1973. The functions of this association are promoting the vision of world missions, providing missions education and facilitating the cooperation of all Chinese churches and mission organizations in Hong Kong.

Throughout the past years, HKACM developed various foremost ministries such as organizing the “Grace to All Nations” movement. We have arranged mission courses with a variety of topics. We have also published the “Go Unto All Nations” journal and books about world missions. Moreover, we have developed the concern in missionary care and have implemented different research in mission trends. Our work is widely accepted by the churches in Hong Kong. On average, our co-workers are being invited to speak in churches for over 170 times every year, with the number of recipients over 19,000 people.

By the mobilization work of all churches and mission organizations in the past 30 years, there are about 600 churches and 30 organizations in Hong Kong constantly supporting world missions. There are 376 missionaries being sent out through our member organizations and churches in 2006. HKACM will be more proactive in contacting all related parties to enhance the cooperation and to improve the quality of ministry.

The main purpose for the formation of HKACM is to facilitate a united testimony to the need of a complete and speedy evangelization of the world. It is our passion to reach all the peoples throughout the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. May His name be praised and glorified in all nations!
